Karyne (00:00:07) – Hi fantasy readers. This is Karyne Norton, your fellow book binger, and you are listening to the Finding Fantasy Reads podcast where you can test out a new fantasy story every single week to find your next favorite author.

Today’s story features a young woman challenging her nation’s throne. It’s written by Ashley Schaller, an award winning author who prefers tea over coffee, will never say no to puppy snuggles, and proudly wears the title of “Dog Mom”. When not writing, she can often be found reading her next favorite book, baking, obsessing over owls (but only the cute cartoon ones), or learning new crochet patterns. I’m betting she’s made a cute crocheted cartoon owl at some point. And if not, I think she should. Maybe we should all bombard her with cute owl crochet patterns.
