Karyne (00:00:07) – Hi fantasy readers. This is Karyne Norton, your fellow book binger, and you are listening to the Finding Fantasy Reads podcast where you can test out a new fantasy story every single week to find your next favorite author.

If you didn’t catch last week’s episode, you’ll want to go back and listen, because this is part two of the young adult romance with phoenixes. This story is one of many included in the anthology Of Storms and Stardust, which is actually only available for a very limited time. My own short story, When There’s a Tomorrow, is included in it as well. It’s a charity anthology put together by several authors last fall in order to raise money for hurricane victims. It’s raised several thousand dollars so far, but we’d love to see it raise even more before our 120-day contract is up and it’s pulled from retailers. So if you want to get over 30 stories with more than 2,000 pages while helping hurricane victims, grab your own copy before February 19th. I’ll have a link in the show notes.

Alright, now settle in and enjoy To Thaw a Phoenix Heart, Part 2, by C.K. Beggan.

Karyne and Paeter (00:01:22) –  To Thaw a Phoenix Heart: Part 1 is read by Karyne Norton and Paeter Frandsen. Due to copyright, the full transcript of the story cannot be included here.

Karyne (00:35:18) – I hope you enjoyed listening to To Thaw a Phoenix Heart: Part 2, by C.K. Beggan, narrated by Karyne Norton and Paeter Frandsen of Christian Geek Central. Don’t forget that if you want to read more by Cait, go to ckbeggan.com to find more of her books. She’s careful to categorize her books as YA, no-spice adult, and spicy adult, so go pick your poison. I’ll also have the link to find the anthology Of Storms and Stardust, which also has a variety of heat levels with warning labels.

If you enjoyed listening to Paeter narrate the story, you might also enjoy listening to his audio dramas at spiritblade.com or his podcast, Christian Geek Central, where he discusses movies, video games, and all things enjoyed by self-proclaimed geeks from a Christian worldview.

I’m still looking to book a few more stories before the end of this season, but then I’ll be booking up for season 3 in the fall. I know that sounds super far away, but we’re starting to record the next audiobook too, so planning ahead is how I keep sane. If you know of a story that I should feature, whether it’s your own or someone else’s, check out the contact page on the website, where you can find an application form for authors, as well as a contact form for readers. It’s exciting for me to think about all the stories we have coming up to share. I’d love to add one of yours to that list.

In the meantime, thank you all for listening, and happy reading.
